About my Other Yamaha
1982 YZ490J , built to 500cc . Ported , Mic 38mm flat slide carb that has been taper bored , Pro Form cone pipe . Suspension redone by Pro form for my weight and set up for motocross .
I had aluminum Works case screws remade and some titanium bolt and nuts. Billet top clamp with tall risers set over center like a modern bike . Top clamp and fork legs have been hard anodized. Tires are Bridgestone 403/404 set on factory wheels and spokes . All body work except side panels are oem Yamaha , with Plastic works fork guards .
What would a early 80's bike be with out Oury grips . I won the GP2 500cc CALVMX Championship in 2008 and leading in points in GP@ 500cc again this year . I have had alot of help to get this bike to where it is , so Thanks to Montclair Yamaha of Corona for the support , Pro Form Racing , Moto Perfect ,XYZ , Race Bolts ,and Speed& Sport Inc. Also Thanks to Rocket Rex Staten for all the advise and riding tips .
